Imagine the sun coming out right after a big rain storm. The gray sky is still off in the distance, but the sunshine is making everything sparkle with fresh color. That was my inspiration for After the Rain.
These luxury art batts are a real treat to spin. All of my art batts are soft, but these are especially soft thanks to all the lovely baby alpaca and bamboo in them. They contain merino, baby alpaca, and bamboo as well as both firestar and angelina for sparkle.
I use a special technique to keep the colors bright but also well blended.
The last couple photos show what the yarn looks like spun up as a light worsted-weight singles yarn. It really is lusciously soft, and the alpaca gives the yarn a slight halo.
