ENGLISH COUNTRY DANCE Spinning and Felting Art Batt

"What a charming thing for young people this is, Mr. Darcy! There is nothing like dancing after all. I consider it as one of the first refinements of polished societies."
- Sir William Lucas of Pride and Prejudice

These luxury art batts reminded me so very much of the dance at the assembly room--the first of many dances in Pride and Prejudice.

They will be a delight to spin or felt. They are made of merino wool, muga silk, bamboo, alpaca, and a bit of shimmery firestar--all soft, lovely fibers for something to wear next to your skin.

I think these batts would make a gorgeous shawl, whether knit, crocheted, woven or felted. The last photo shows some 2-ply yarn I spun from 2 of these art batts.

I've loved everything I've purchased here - these batts were no exception. I really can't get over the level of quality for the price here. This is my go-to shop for art batts.

As always, shipping was super quick: seriously, I got my batts 2 days after I ordered; I think she popped them in the mail same day!
